Dundonnell Timber is a small sawmill operating in a sustainably managed forest at the foot of An Teallach in Wester Ross. We specialise in producing cladding and decking from selected treated or un-treated Scottish Larch or Douglas fir, both renowned for their appearance and durability.

The sawmill (constructed from our own timber) is in the middle of a forest which can supply some of our timber, the rest we source from other sustainably managed Scottish forests.

Every piece of timber is hand milled. The small scale of our enterprise means that we can undertake bespoke milling if special sizes of timber are required rather than the standard lengths and thicknesses. The mill can handle lengths up to 7.4 metres and can undertake bespoke milling of timber up to 12 inches thick.

The sawmill currently employs two people full time and is supported by the architectural office of Frederick Geddes where most of the paper work is undertaken. Either Simon at the mill or Fred will be happy to deal with your enquiries.

Although our core business is to manufacture cladding and structural timbers for the local market, we have supplied a diverse range of timber, from split pole roof rafters for a Black House restoration in South Uist (Outer Hebrides) to best quality dressed redwood for kitchen worktops in London and quality decking and garden products nationally.
